The motorized pop up camera is the new notch (excuse the pun!), and it is eventually turned into a parameter of the flagship. On the other hand, phone makers like Realme are trying to break the myth. Realme X is the perfect example, as you can get the motorized camera goodness under budget.
The Chinese OEM also incorporated an under-display fingerprint scanner in this monster. The phone is powered by a capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, although fans are not too much happy with the older processor.
Realme officially shared the bootloader unlocking procedure for Realme X. They also kickstarted a developer seeding program recently, similar to OnePlus. The phone is running August security patch in India, while Chinese units already got September patches with numerous improvements.
The inclusion of the 48 MP Sony IMX586 camera sensor is a major selling point of Realme X, but lately users are having multiple issues with the module. To be precise, the camera hardware is working fine, but the stock camera app is reportedly unable to handle the processing load of such a huge raw pixel data.
Camera is getting stuck after taking 2 images in 48 MP. Able to see two images in gallery once phone is recovered from stuck mode. But second image is not getting processed even after long time..it shows Loading as shown below.

Good news is, the issue has already been reported to the Realme Camera testing group. We are not sure whether the app is the culprit here or they need to patch it deep down inside the camera stack. Matter of fact, Redmi Note 7 Pro users also experienced similar lags in past.
Xiaomi addressed the issue with the help of subsequent software updates. Realme presumably will take the same path, and the upcoming September update for Indian Realme X units might bundle the required fix. Cross your fingers!
