Realme UI is the latest Android 10-based skin that will run on Realme smartphones from now going forward. For some reason, though, this isn’t at the expense of ColorOS 7 as the OPPO skin is apparently keeping its place.

Whether Realme UI will eventually replace ColorOS fully on Realme phones is a story for another day. Today, we talk up more Realme UI features being lined up alongside the expected release dates of the stable version for multiple Realme smartphones across India.

The company officially unveiled the new skin in India yesterday and in the process revealed a bunch of features and changes that have been included in Realme UI. Over on Twitter, Realme India CMO Francis Wang has been a busy man teasing and responding to questions about even more upcoming Realme UI features.

In one of the images shared in the screenshots in the tweet above, Wang shows off the Notification Light feature that takes the place of the Notification LED. When a message or call comes in, the screen will come to life displaying different colors that should be customizable.

Diehard OPPO and Xiaomi fans will be quick to tell you that such a feature already exists on the OPPO Find X and the Redmi K20 duo.

We already knew about the customizable app icons coming as part of the new UI, but Wang took no chances as he reiterated to a concerned fan that indeed, the Camera app will support customized settings in different formats.

Realme UI is also confirmed to bundle scrolling screenshots and support for dual apps like Xiaomi’s MIUI. There is also talk of an IR blaster being introduced in future Realme smartphones, again, just like Xiaomi’s handsets, but nothing concrete yet.

All these features will be part of the stable Android 10 rollout that is expected to begin this month with the Realme XT and Realme 3 Pro already confirmed.

As for the standard Realme 3, the company says the Android 10-based update will be pushed in April 2020 while the Realme C2 will pick it up in Q3 2020.

Apparently, those expecting the Realme X to join the Realme UI beta program will be disappointed to learn that there won’t be room for this device in the program.

Hey, realme UI Beta Program will not be available for realme X. However, we will roll out the stable update of realme UI for the smartphone in February 2020. Thanks!

On the brighter side, the stable version will be rolled out in February 2020, which is only a couple of weeks away. Details about more Realme UI features and release dates for more devices should keep trickling in as time goes by.
