Realme C2 December security update up for grabs, brings flash on call support & more (Download link inside)

As we are approaching the end of the year 2019, OEMs are trying to keep their devices well equipped with security by pushing the latest security updates.

Realme, which is one of the fastest-growing brands, thanks to the good performance of the Realme 5 series and later on the Realme X2 Pro, gave the brand that much needed hype to stay strong in today’s smartphone market.

And talking about updates, if you are the owner of the Realme C2 smartphone, then there is a new update available for you to download that not only bumps the security patch level to December 2019 but, also brings in a truckload of new features and enhancements.

For specs buff, Realme C2 was unveiled in May 2019 and it sports a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display. On top of 2/3 GB RAM, you get an onboard storage capacity of 16/32 GB which is further expandable up to 256 GB via microSD.

Talking about the camera, you get dual 13 MP+2 MP sensors at the back and a single 5 MP shooter in the front. Under the hood, the device has a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh.

Now coming back to the latest update, it arrives with version number A.21 and weighs 1.98 GB. Notably, the device was served with another December update but it brought in the November security update (A.20) at the beginning of this month.

Good news! realme C2 is getting a new update via OTA for the month of December!

This new update brings in new features like fast switch toggles, flash on call, and some fixes for known bugs. Below is the official changelog along with the screenshot:

Security
● Android security patch: December，2019

Launcher
● Added click the blank area to back to the launcher on recent task interface

Notification Center and Status Bar
● Added fast switch toggles of dark mode in notification center

Settings
● Added flash on call feature

Known issue fixed
● Fixed the issue of the volume bar blocked by the camera while horizontal status

Keep in mind that this update will be pushed in via OTA in batches and will take some time in hitting all the units. You can always go ahead and manually check for the update by heading to Settings>>Software Updates>>Check for new updates.
