About 6 months ago, Realme introduced the Realme 5 Pro to the world, the first in its price segment with a 48MP quad-lens camera on the back. According to the latest developments, the company is now lining up a successor to this handset – the Realme 6 Pro.

It is still unclear when exactly the Realme 6 Pro will make its debut. With the MWC 2020 event fast-approaching and the OPPO subsidiary poised to attend the show, we won’t be surprised if it shows up during this event.

To this effect, a number of developments have been taking shape over the recent past. In January, reports of a certain Realme device that bagged BIS certification in India as models RMX2020, RMX2030, RMX2040, and RMX2061 popped up online.

At the time, it was claimed these devices will be the various variants of the Realme 6 series. Not long ago, a device with model number RMX2061 received IMDA certification as the Realme 6 Pro, all but confirming that indeed the device exists.

Now, in a fresh development, the same device with model number RMX2061 has been cleared by the NBTC in Thailand as the Realme 6 Pro, further adding more weight to the fact that its launch is imminent.

Again, it’s not known when the phone will make its debut, but with these certifications, we not only have the name of the device, but also confirmation that it won’t be limited to India or China for that matter.

Previous rumors have claimed the Realme 6 Pro will ship with a penta-lens camera on the back and base memory of 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. Of course, the newest Realme UI based on Android 10 should run the software show. Still, none of these is confirmed yet, so we wait!

A techy. Besides phones, I also enjoy the farm, music, football, and, of course, food.
