Realme 5 Pro VoWiFi (WiFi calling) added in Realme UI update, says support

Realme has just published the official download link for the newly-released Realme 5 Pro Realme UI update based on Android 10 on the official software support website.

This move means the company is satisfied with the stability of the current Realme UI firmware for the device and that anyone can download and sideload it without any concerns.

There is a long list of new features included in Realme’s first-ever in-house custom skin. However, nowhere does the changelog mention anything to do with support for VoWiFi calling on the Realme 5 Pro.

When asked about the status of the Realme 5 Pro VoWiFi calling feature, the company, through its official Twitter handle, has revealed that it is part of the incoming Realme UI update.

Apparently, someone probably forgot to include VoWiFi calling support in the changelog for whatever reason, but it seems the feature is indeed here, at least according to multiple responses from Realme support.

The Realme 5 Pro now joins a bunch of other Realme phones that have also received VoWiFi calling support in India. The list of devices includes the Realme 3 Pro and Realme XT, Realme 5, Realme 5s, Realme 5i, Realme U1, Realme 1, and Realme X2.

The Realme X, which also picked up the Realme UI update alongside the Realme 5 Pro, got support for VoWiFi calling in a separate update before Android 10 arrived. Realme 5 Pro VoWiFi calling support was also expected to arrive in a separate update, but it seems the company decided otherwise.
