Realme is one of the fastest-growing brands in the smartphone market. All thanks to innovation and the continuous addition of smartphones in its portfolio, the brand is grabbing attention.
Moreover, the company is aggressively looking to expand its offline sales to 150 cities in India. And coming over to pushing timely updates, Realme was one of the first companies that announced its roadmap for rolling out Android 10 to its devices.
Cut to now, Realme has pushed the latest security and enhancements updates for a lot of its smartphones and the latest one to receive the bugfix update is the Realme 5.
For specs buff, the Realme 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with 3/4GB of RAM. It features a quad-camera setup at the back housing 12+8+2+2 MP sensors.
In the front, it sports a 6.5-inches 720p screen with a 13MP selfie camera. Under the hood, the device packs in a massive 5000 mAh battery and also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.
The new update for the Realme 5 carries the version number A.15. Below is the official announcement along with the screenshot of it:

You can check out the official changelog that mentions the fix it brings along with it:

- Fixed the issue that the compass cannot be calibrated
- Improved system stability
Camera
- Improved the video call quality for operators
The update is pushed out via OTA and will take some time in reaching all the devices. However, you can manually check for the update by heading to Settings>>Software Updates>>Check for new updates.
Note that the Realme 5 has very recently received the September 2019 security patch that carried the version number A.14 and also brought in the camera enhancements.
However, looking at the discussions at the end of this announcement, one user asked whether the Realme 2 Pro will be receiving the October update or not. In reply, it was stated that the update will be delayed and probably would take some time. Here is the screenshot of the same:
Moreover, the Realme 2 Pro received two continuous updates that brought in September patch and WiFi fixes for the device. But, by looking at the discussion, the October update will be delayed for some time.
