Realme is doing a lot in terms of pushing out updates for its smartphones. Often the pro variants of the devices are the first ones to receive a major update, and this stands true in case of Realme devices.
Few days back, we highlighted that the Chinese variant of the Realme 3 Pro (aka Realme X Lite in China) started receiving the September security update with new enhancements and features as well.
However, following the same pace of update, the latest smartphone to receive the September security patch is the Realme 3. Talking about the specs of the device, the Realme 3 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P70 processor which is paired with 3GB of RAM.
The device packs a dual-camera setup with 13MP + 2MP. Realme 3 sports a 6.2-inch display and houses a battery capacity of 4230 mAh. It runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box and this update bumps the security update to September 2019.
Realme also revealed recently its roadmap for the rollout of the Android 10 operating system for its smartphones. And according to that, the Realme 3 will receive the Android 10 based OS on Q2 of 2020.
This seems pretty interesting as a mid-range device will be receiving the well-featured Android 10 while there are some OEMs that have not included their powerful one or two-year-old flagships to the Android 10 update cycle.
It has also been reported that the company is working on a new RealmeOS to replace the ColorOS. This news was confirmed by the CEO of Realme, Madhav Sheth.
Some of the features of the RealmeOS can be seen with the recently launched Realme 5 Pro smartphone. However, it runs on the new version of the ColorOS and not exactly the RealmeOS.
As for the currently circulating September update, it carries version number RMX1825EX_11_A.22. Apart from the security patch this update also fixes some known bugs and issues for the Realme 3. Below is the official changelog and the screenshot shared by one the users:

The size of the update is not known but it is still recommended that you use a stable WiFi connection for downloading this update. However, if you have not received the notification for this update as of now, then you can manually check for it by heading to Settings.
With this new update, the company seems very geared up with the slated launch of its Android 10 update for all its devices which is a good thing to see especially in the smartphone market. Let us know in the comments if you also received the update and what all other improvements this update brings to your Realme 3.
