New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on March 2, 2020) follows:
Realme has been working hard on providing VoWiFi features to its handsets and one or two smartphones, on a regular interval, are being served with this feature.
Talking about the present scenario in India, while technology in the country is booming, we still suffer from the poor call and network quality in India. Major network providers like Airtel and Jio have been trying to improve on this front, but there is still space for improvement.
These two major network providers started the VoWiFi or WiFi Calling feature in India, which is a step in improving the call quality.
VoWiFi uses your WiFi connection to connect calls instead of your regular mobile network in order to up the call quality. This also negates the need to rely on the fluctuating network indicators.
Till now, Realme has pushed the VoWiFi (WiFi Calling) feature to quite a bunch of devices, namely, Realme U1, Realme 1, Realme 5/5i/5s, Realme X2, Realme X, and Realme X2 Pro.
And the company has now added the WiFi calling feature to two more devices, i.e. Realme 3 Pro and Realme XT. Note that Realme XT was accidentally served with the VoWiFi feature on the wrong firmware.
Basically, users who wish to experience VoWiFi feature on their Realme XT, need to let go of the Realme UI update and can get the WiFi calling feature on version A.16 (ColorOS 6) while the Realme UI arrives with C.01.
But now, with the new February 2020 patchset, the VoWiFi feature is available to all. Let us take a look at the updates one by one:
