In the age of rapid development model and extremely short lifespan of gadgets, newly released products are bound to have software related bugs. As a result, pushing day-one patches becomes a habit of the companies, followed by series of updates until the users get a stable experience.
Talking about Realme X, the fascinating mid-ranger already got August security patch in India. While the phone is confirmed to get Android Q in near future, the current version of Pie based ColorOS is not exactly bug-free.
Call switching issues, lags while playing PUBG and improper selfie camera activation glitches are some of the noticeable bugs faced by Realme X users. In fact, Realme India kind of assured their customers about the imminent arrival of a new bugfix update.
Realme X was initially launched in China before global release. Similar to Xiaomi or Huawei, the OEM tends to push new software updates to Chinese variants first. Once again, we are experiencing the same drill, as Chinese Realme X are now receiving a new bugfix update.
The version number of this new build is A.17 and it should be available on Indian units soon. Moreover, Realme 3 Pro, which is sold in China as Realme X Lite, is also blessed with a new OTA with a number of under-the-hood fixes.
The changelogs are pretty much identical, as both of them highlight the stability and overlapping icon fix. Presumably those ‘stability’ related changes will be channelized on Indian units as well, as the last update for Realme 3 Pro is not well received by owners.
Battery is draining real fast after the A.17 update. The screen on time is too much less as compared to the last update.. Is anyone facing this issue as well?
