Besides the spectacular ‘Diamond Black’ design, the Realme 1 runs a trimmed down version of ColorOS 5.2 (based on Android 8.1). This variant is tailor-made for catering Indian consumers, thus many region specific tweaks are being incorporated inside the OS.

At the end of the 2018, the OEM launched Realme U1 as a spiritual successor to the original Realme 1. The SoC was upgraded to MediaTek Helio P70, while a 2 MP depth sensor was added alongside the primary 13 MP camera. However, the OS wasn’t updated.
