This story is being continuously updated….new updates are being added at the bottom…..
Realme 1, the debut phone from the Chinese OEM Realme (spawned from OPPO), had an interesting background. The company took the OPPO F7 Youth, rebrand it, did some changes in the Android 8.1 Oreo based ColorOS 5.2 and launched the phone in India.
The residues of the rebranding were quite prominent: initial builds of the firmware for the phone came with OPPO’s Theme Store, which was later removed and promised to be replaced with Realme’s version. The codename of device (CPH1859/CPH1861) also follows OPPO’s pattern.
Nevertheless, Realme assured their users to bring Android Pie update in the form of ColorOS 6.0 within this month. The public beta recruitment of the upcoming Pie update was started at the first week of June. The tentative changelog is as follows:
System
· Added notification icons in status bar
· Added a new navigation gesture
· Added app drawer to ColorOS launcher
· Added Riding Mode
· Added Live Wallpaper
· Android Security Patch Level: May 5th, 2019
UI
· Updated UI of the notification panel
· Updated UI of AI Board
· Updated default theme
Camera
· Added Nightscape Mode
· Added HAL3 support
Applications
· Added realme Game Center (certain regions)
· Added realme community app (certain regions)
In an interesting turn of events, several Realme 1 users have reportedly started to receive a new OTA update today with the identical changelog.
The update weighs about 2.11 GB and carries the build number CPH18(59/61)EX_11_A.35. The changelog clearly mentions that this is the ColorOS 6.0 update based on Android Pie.
Judging from the user feedback, the OTA seems to be the stable update. However, the company is rolling out the patch in stages to avoid potential errors.
FYI, Camera2/HAL3 support is noticeably absent from the actual changelog. According to some users, the feature is indeed present and can be accessed from Developer options.
We are unable to locate the direct link from the OZIP update package from the Realme update servers, but some community members were able to capture and mirror it. The download link is shared below, although you may be prevented by the software updater while sideloading.

- Channel: India Stable (probably soak test)
- Version: CPH1861EX_11_A.35

As you can see, the package is intended for the CPH1861 variant. CPH1859 users should not try to flash this package as it may brick the phone.
