Niantic has announced the details about the upcoming Pokemon Go Community Day. The forthcoming September Community Day will feature Gen 4 starter Pokemon – Turtwig.
Turtwig is a grass-type Pokemon from the Sinnoh region. Pokemon Go September Community Day will go live on 15 September from 11:00 am to 2 pm in your local time zone.
During the September Community Day, Turtwig will appear more frequently in the wild. The upcoming Community Day is also bringing a range of bonuses to the game.
Pokemon Go Turtwig September Community Day bonuses have been detailed below.
1) Lure modules will last for three hours
2) 3x Catch Stardust
If you are lucky, you may encounter Shiny Turtwig. Sinnoh region starter Turtwig evolves into Grotle, and further Grotle evolves into Torterra. During the Community Day event timings and up to an hour afterwards, every Grotle evolved into Torterra will learn a special move.
Speaking of shiny variants of Turtwig, they have a slightly different colour. Shiny variants of Turtwig and Grotle are turquoise in colour. Torterra shiny variant is light green and has green-yellow legs. Have a look at the shiny family in the image below.
A new update 0.151.0 for Pokemon Go is currently rolling out for all the devices. The latest update of Pokemon Go has brought a few changes to the game. Pokemon Go update 0.151.0 changelog can be read below.

The major change which can be seen in the latest update 0.151.0 is the compatibility of Pokemon Go game with Android Q. In the past couple of months, Android Q beta users have not been able to play the game.
Many users contacted Niantic Support but received similar responses, which stated that Pokemon Go is not fully compatible with Android Q at the moment.
However, with the latest update 0.151.0, the compatibility issue with Android Q update has been resolved. Still, we have to wait and see whether the update works well on all android devices or not.
Pokemon Go Fest Yokohama is currently happening in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. The fest started on 6 August, and it will stay live until 12 August. Pokemon Go Fest Yokohama also introduced the Global Go Fest Field Research Tasks to the game.
1) Make two great curveball throws in a row
2) Evolve three Pokemon
3) Hatch an egg
4) Win a raid
5) Win three gym battles
Completion of any one of the above-mentioned tasks will reward with any of the following encounters.
- Poliwag
- Lotad
- Tailow
- Swablu
- Snorunt
