Pokemon Go : Generation 5, Shiny Mewtwo, new shinies coming to game under Ultra Bonus event

Niantic has released the details regarding the Ultra Bonus event which starts on September 2, 2019. After completing Blanche, Candela, and Spark challenges, players have successfully unlocked the Ultra Bonus.

Also, a mythical Pokemon Jirachi has awoken, and players need to complete all the stages of ‘A Thousand Year Slumber‘ event, to encounter and catch Jirachi.

Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus event has been divided into three weeks. All the details regarding the Ultra Bonus event have been detailed below.

Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus Event – Week 1

Week 1 of Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus Event focuses on Jhoto Pokedex. The week one runs from September 2, 2019, at 1 pm to September 9, 2019, at 1 pm PDT.

Week 1 Features

• If you’re extraordinarily lucky, you might hatch Unown forms U, L, T, R, and A from 10 km Eggs.

• Raikou, Entei, and Suicune will return to raids, along with other Johto Pokémon.

• If you’re lucky, you might encounter Shiny Sentret and Shiny Gligar.

Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus Event – Week 2

Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus Week 2 features Kanto region Pokemon, Generation 1 regionals, and Deoxys. It will be the first time that Deoxys will appear outside EX Raids.

Week 2 of the Ultra Bonus event will run from September 9, 2019, at 1 pm to September 16, 2019, at 1 pm PDT.

Week 2 Features

• Regional Pokémon Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros will hatch from 7 km Eggs. If you’re lucky, you might hatch Shiny ones! These Pokémon will remain available from Eggs until the end of week 3—September 23, 2019, at 1 pm PDT.

• All Deoxys forms will make their first appearances outside EX Raids.

Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus Event – Week 3

Pokemon Go Ultra Bonus Week 3 is going to be very exciting for trainers and players as Generation V Pokemon will start appearing in Pokemon Go.

Week 3 of the Ultra Bonus event will run from September 16, 2019, at 1 pm to September 23, 2019, at 1 pm PDT.

Shiny Mewtwo is also making its entry into the game for the first time.

Week 3 Features

• Mewtwo with the special move Psystrike will be available to challenge in five-star raids. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Mewtwo

• The Gear Pokémon Klink, originally discovered in Unova, will also appear in raids. You might even encounter a Shiny Klink!

• You may also find Shiny Patrat and Shiny Lillipup!

Also, Pokemon Go Japan Twitter account has shared a video regarding the Ultra Bonus event which has possibly revealed the generation 5 starters. Have a look at the video below.

In the video, we can see Tepig, Oshawott and Snivy which means we can expect the release of these Pokemon pretty soon in Pokemon Go.
