Week three of the Ultra Bonus event has gone live today, and Generation 5 Pokemon have made their entry for the first time into the game. Niantic has also teased the first wave of Unova region Pokemon which will be released for the game in an official tweet. Have a look at the tweet below.
The first wave of Generation 5 Pokemon features Unova region starters – Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. Players will also get the chance to catch Excadrill which one of the best Generation 5 Pokemon for PvE and Raid Battles. The following Pokemon are included in the first wave of Generation 5 release :
Snivy, Servine, Serperior, Tepig, Pignite, Emboar, Oshawott, Dewott, Samurott, Patrat, Watchog, Lillipup, Herdier, Stoutland, Purrloin, Liepard, Pansage, Simisage, Pansear, Simisear, Panpour, Pidove, Tranquill, Unfezant, Blitzle, Zebrastrika, Drilbu, Excadrill, Foongus, Amoonguss, Ferroseed, Ferrothorn, Klink, Klang, Klinklang, Litwick, Lampent, Chandelure, Golett, Golurk, Heatmor, Durant, Deino, Zweilous, and Hydreigon.
Shiny Mewtwo has also made its debut to the game and will appear as Tier 5 Raid Boss under week three of the Ultra Bonus Event. We have listed below the best counters for Mewtwo, but we will first discuss the arrival of Generation 5 Pokemon to the game.
Niantic has officially released a list of Generation 5 Pokemon that will appear in the wild, eggs & Raids.
1) Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Patrat, Lillipup, Purrloin, Pidove, Blitzle and more Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region will be appearing in the wild.
2) Spark has been hard at work walking and incubating Eggs for his research and has found that the following Pokémon have started hatching from Eggs!
2 km Eggs: Patrat, Lillipup, Purrloin, Pidove
5 km Eggs: Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Blitzle, Drilbur, Foongus
10 km Eggs: Ferroseed, Klink, Litwick, Golett, Deino
3) Pokemon including Lillipup, Patrat, and Klink will appear in Raids.
4) An all-new Unova stone has made its entry into the game; this black-and-white evolutionary item will help specific Pokemon to evolve like Lampent and others.
5) Blanche, the leader of Team Mystic, has reported that some Pokemon may only appear in some specific region of the world. Following are the Pokemon which will spawn regionally.
Asia-Pacific: Pansage, the Grass Monkey Pokémon
Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: Pansear, the High Temp Pokémon
The Americas and Greenland: Panpour, the Spray Pokémon
Western Hemisphere: Heatmor, the Anteater Pokémon
Eastern Hemisphere: Durant, the Iron Ant Pokémon
