Original story (from Jan 27) follows:
Ex-Xiaomi subsidiary Poco has been making a lot of noise since it declared the brand as an independent entity. Following that, Poco India General Manager C Manmohan revealed the much-awaited Poco F1’s successor, Poco F2 (Pocophone F2) won’t be the first smartphone this year.
This revelation turned all heads towards Poco X2 that was teased (in the form of Season 02) by the company recently. Interestingly, user observations spotted Poco X2’s arrival as a hidden message in the official Season 02 teaser.
Cut to now. Poco has officially confirmed the release date and time of their upcoming smartphone Poco X2 on their official website. Poco India support also revealed the good news a few minutes back, saying:
An Xperience that will make you go, “Bruh, it’s #SmoothAF”. #POCOX2 is arriving on Feb 4th 2020. Want to know if your smartphone is Smooth AF? Visit now: http://bit.ly/SmoothAF
So it’s official now. Poco X2 is coming next week on Feb 04 at 12 pm. No need to set the time, as Poco is already running it on their website.
As for specs, the official Poco India website reveals six camera modules, extreme refresh rate, extreme gaming, Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC (details not known yet, should be 730G though), enhanced touch response, USB Type-C and 3.5 mm audio/headphone jack.
FYI Poco has also come up with a separate website (mobile-only as of now) after the Poco X2 # “SmoothAF” which teases 60Hz refresh rate. So it could be possible they’re hinting the refresh rate on Poco X2.
So yes, Poco X2 is finally happening. We’ll be keeping an eye on more details about the phone and will share it as and when they are revealed by the company.
Update 1 (Jan 28)
