Xiaomi had done away with their global beta testing program a couple of years back. This meant that beta testing was limited to China alone. However, for many of the savvy ones out there, this change was a deal-breaker.

The reason for this being that global users would no longer get a chance to contribute to the development of newer MIUI versions. Additionally, one would have to wait for much longer to try out the latest MIUI features.

Of course, being on the bleeding edge branch of any software means that certain bugs turn up every now and then. But beta testers are very well aware of the risks.

The greatest drawback of holding back global users though was that Xiaomi/Poco no longer could test out their global ROMs prior to stable releases. And a separate test channel for global ROMs is a necessity given how different it is from China ROMs.

Thankfully, Xiaomi/Poco was smart enough to realize this shortcoming and decided to include global users in the testing process too. This comes in the form of Mi Pilot testing programs.

Not many details had been provided about the kind of releases participants were to expect under these programs. This led us to believe that they might have something to do with MIUI 12.5 given that it’s right around the corner.

However, as it turns out, rollouts under Mi/Poco Stable Tester programs are all currently MIUI 12-based. These builds aren’t exactly the latest but do bring about an entirely new Android version in some cases.

Moreover, such releases are pretty stable for daily use and are only under their final testing stages. Yep, not exactly bleeding edge but hey, at least global users are now a part of the development process!

Anyway, we recently highlighted how a bunch of Poco devices was included in the Mi Stable Tester recruitment process. Of course, thousands of people had signed up for it.

And now, Poco has made available the complete list of participants that have now officially become Mi Testers for Global, India, and Europe ROMs. You can access the same through this link.

It contains a list of Mi IDs that can easily be searched up through the search function found in most document readers. Hope you have a wonderful experience.

With that being said, be sure to keep an eye on our dedicated MIUI 12.5 update tracker so that you don’t miss out on any new developments.
