Here's why Pocophone F1/Poco F1 MIUI 12 update is missing option to edit slow-motion videos

The 2018 flagship killer, Pocophone F1, which also known as Poco F1 in India, has had a rough year when it comes to software updates.

The Poco F1 saw a limited release and re-release of the MIUI 12 update until the wider rollout started back in mid-October.

However, Pocophone F1 users are still disappointed with the quality of the latest custom skin pushed to them as it still has several bugs and lacks certain features.

Now, the feature that the Poco F1 users are rooting for is the Mi Video app which allowed users to edit slow motion videos.

Since several apps were to be removed from the Poco F1 MIUI 12 update due to the ban imposed by the Government of India, the Mi Video app was also among the banned apps.

Nevertheless, users are not liking the fact that they cannot edit slow motion videos on their Pocophone F1 as there is no alternative to do so on the current software build.

Also, it is unclear whether or not the OEM is going to address this issue by incorporating the functionality into the native gallery app.

Moreover, it seems that the slow motion video editing functionality is missing only on the Indian Pocophone F1 variant while the global units still have the feature as stated by a user.

As mentioned earlier, the OEM has been in a constant dilemma because of the Poco F1 software updates as new problems keep on surfacing.

It must be noted that the missing default wallpapers issue is among the many problems on the global Poco F1 MIUI 12 update and now it seems that another concern has been added to that long list.

While it is unclear how the OEM plans to address the slow motion video issue, the only option for the time being is to sit back and wait for Xiaomi to make an official statement on this.
