Android 10 is slowly becoming a thing of the past now, as we are already starting to see early developer builds of the Android 11 operating system. Oppo has been a bit behind in rolling out the Android 10 updates for its devices.
But, things seem to have been changing as the company has been pretty active in the last few weeks. It shared a timeline that depicts when the compatible Oppo smartphones will get the Android 10 based ColorOS 7 update.
As per the roadmap, Oppo Reno2 Z‘s early adopter program was scheduled to start from March 16. Oppo did stick to the said timeline and started recruiting early adopters for the ColorOS 7 (Android 10) trial version on March 16.
Moreover, the company also said that the enrolled Oppo Reno2 Z users will get the ColorOS 7 (Android 10) beta update after 3 days of registration.
And as promised, the ColorOS 7 (Android 10) beta update for the Oppo Reno2 Z early adopters, is now rolling out. Users of the Oppo Reno2 Z have also confirmed about the reception of the update on their devices.
This ColorOS 7 (Android 10) beta update for the Oppo Reno2 Z is hitting the units of the early adopters with the version number C.15 and it weighs in around 3.36 GB in size.
It brings in all the new features of the ColorOS 7 like new design elements, smart sidebar, new navigation gestures, dark mode, focus mode, new charging animation, optimized game space, enhances UI for the camera app, and more.
Now, as always, the update will hit the units in batches and will be arriving via OTA. Those who have still not got the notification, can check for it by heading to Settings>>About Phone>>System Updates>>Download.
