It won’t be wrong saying that we all live in a smartphone era. Considering the high usage of phones in our daily life, end users expecting best of the features packaged in a single unit, that too at a pocket friendly price is quite common.
From quality camera, to good video playback resolution for streaming content all day, to massive battery life, to large RAM for effective gaming, users want it all. And OEMs putting their head down to achieve user expectations is what helps them sustain.
Talking of giving smartphone users the features they want, an effort from Chinese phone maker Oppo’s end is now coming to light. And it has to do with Oppo Reno 10x Zoom – the company’s current year flagship phone fueled with Snapdragon 855 processor, that runs Android Pie with ColorOS 6 on top.
Streaming videos in high definition is pretty much a common practice among smartphone users. And as far as Oppo Reno 10x Zoom is concerned, you may know the phone doesn’t support HDR out of the box. Meaning, no high definition netflixing and stuff?.
But the good news is this’ll be changing hopefully sometime soon. Reason being, Oppo is working on adding HDR support in Reno 10x Zoom after which streaming content in high definition will be possible?. The information came from Oppo’s official Twitter handle while reverting back to a user.
Here’s what they exactly said:
our team is working on the HDR support and it is in the process.
Quite relieving, isn’t it. Here’s hoping this “process” gets completed soon and Reno 10x Zoom gets HDR compatible, so that users can enjoy high definition video streaming on their units. Rest assured, like always, we’ll be keeping a tab and will let you know as and when that occurs.
NOTE: FYI, the trial version (soak test) of ColorOS 6 (Android Pie 9.0) on another Oppo device i.e. Oppo R17 Pro phones has been initiated on the India variants. And Pie public beta is live even on Oppo F9/F9 Pro.More details available here.
