Android 10 is officially available and there is a race among the OEMs to push out Android 10 firmware updates for their compatible devices. Moreover, there is a lot of reason to be excited as Android 10 packs in enhanced security and also gives a lot of customization options.

Oppo is a new player which has gained its slice of the pie in today’s competitive smartphone market. The company offers numerous devices ranging from budget to flagships to even gaming devices.

However, Oppo is not known specifically for timely delivery or its speedy update cycle. Besides, it was reported that the Oppo Reno phones are the ones (for now) to get the Android 10 updates.

Cut to now, the company has rolled out September security updates for three of its devices i.e. Oppo K3, R17 Pro and A3s. Moreover, there is more to the update than just the security patches for all the devices. Let us talk about each update received on the devices, one-by-one.

The update for the Oppo K3 brings in the Digital Wellbeing and Parental Function as an addon with the September security patch update. It carries the version number A.03 and weighs in 2.8GB in size. Below is the official changelog and the screenshot for it:

The update received on the Oppo R17 Pro brings in a new feature that lets you uninstall the TouchPal keyboard from your device. Point to note is that the Oppo R17 is still stuck with the August security patch. We noticed this while checking the official update support page of Oppo.

The update carries the version number A.19 and weighs in around 3.03GB. We would recommend using a stable WiFi or internet connection for downloading the update package considering its size.

Lastly, the update received on the Oppo A3s carries version number A.20 and weighs around 169MB which will not be much heavy on your mobile data or WiFi internet connection.
