OnePlus makes killer phones and in the past couple of years, it has grown to be one of the most endeared brands in the enthusiast segment of the market.
In a bid to further extend its reach to the masses, OnePlus came up with the OnePlus TV product line which was first unveiled back in July 2020.
We have since seen the company pushing out two series of TVs to the markets where it sells these products. These are the OnePlus TV Q1 Series and the OnePlus TV Y Series.
The company has also been going through some sort of diversification, trying to deviate from the products it is traditionally known for.
In line with this, we’ve recently seen the company coming up with new products like the OnePlus Nord line of smartphones, devices that don’t exactly fit the company’s modus operandi but which remain within the its niche.
OnePlus is reportedly working on a similar strategy with its TV line as it plans to unveil the OnePlus TV X.
Little is known about these upcoming products from OnePlus. However, that might not be the case for long as the company is inviting Closed Beta testers interested in taking the OnePlus TV X for a spin to hand in their applications.
The company says it is looking for 8 participants in India and in line with that, the application window is open between February 1 and February 3.
Thereafter, the company will vet the applicants and the winning members will be chosen and notified via mail between February 4 and February 5.
Users that will take part in this closed beta program will get access to pre-released software days or even months before the general public, among other perks.
Of course, there are a few very strict terms that will apply to these testers, terms that are meant to ensure info about the TV does not leak before the official launch. You can learn more about that here.
Interested community members might want to fill in this form to apply for a slot in the closed beta program.
We shall continue to keep an eye on this OnePlus TV X closed beta and many more OnePlus products and test programs and update as and when we get more info so stay tuned to PiunikaWeb for that.
