OnePlus smartphones are known to be of high quality and provide all the flagship-level specs (which even got better with OnePlus 7 Pro).

Where other OEMs are still offering phones with a 60 Hz refresh rate display, OnePlus came up with a 90 Hz display that completely changed the users’ perception.

For many, a high refresh rate display has become one of the key factors while deciding to buy a phone. The result of this can be seen as other smartphone OEMs are also implementing a high refresh rate display on their upcoming smartphones.

But that’s not it, last year, OnePlus also forayed in the Smart TVs category and brought in two pairs of Google’s Android-powered smart TVs i.e. OnePlus TV Q1 and Q1 Pro.

What is more interesting is that both the smart TVs are limited to Indian markets and were meant to challenge the already dominating Xiaomi smart TVs.

Nothing is perfect and so are the OnePlus TVs as they come with their fair share of issues and bugs. To recall, during launch, it was made clear that Netflix’s support for OnePlus TVs will be added via a software update, which was eventually rolled out back in December 2019.

And by going through the series of responses on the community platform by OnePlus’s Software Engineer, more features and fixes are going to arrive via a new update.

Features like motion smoothing settings in Dolby Vision, colorspace function to handle oversaturation, Dolby Vision IQ, etc will be added with the new update.

However, it is not sure that these features or fixes will be rolled out in a single huge update or small batches of new features or bug fix updates will be rolled out.

We will keep you in the loop once we have more information in this regard.
