I know you guys are stoked to hear about the new device - check back to see my post this Wednesday 😬

Being the CEO of a popular smartphone company is undoubtedly a tough job. Besides typical CEO stuffs, you need to maintain a constant connection with your users and fanboys/fangirls, otherwise they are going to crush you! ?
TBH, asking the CEO to provide quick software updates in your phone is pretty much overkill. Don’t be surprised, as people do that every now and then. As the practice is becoming a norm, CEOs have to go through a new phase of evolution.
One of the co-founder of OnePlus, Pete Lau, is now serving the responsibility of the CEO of this Shenzhen based company. Dealing with the fans for a long time, Pete decided to bite the bullet and agreed to share some clues about the upcoming phone.
As a matter of fact, the community got a lot more interesting goodies before Pete’s next tweet. Leakster Ishan Agarwal and OnLeaks unleashed their wrath by publishing various details and high quality renders of both OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.
#OnePlus May 14th launch event: #OnePlus7 ≈ 6.4" flat display / waterdrop notch front camera / dual rear camera with 48MP as primary #OnePlus7Pro ≈ 6.64" curved display / pop-up front camera / triple rear camera with 48MP as primary + Telephoto + Ultra Wide#OnePlus7PRO5G pic.twitter.com/zGic9AQdVx

-USB 3.1
-WARP Charge at 30W, 4000mAH Battery
-Dual Speakers
-Triple Camera Setup (Wide Angle and Telephoto)

Nevertheless, ‘official’ hints always carry more weightage.
Well, Pete shared nothing but this:
Excited to share the next product from OnePlus will unleash a new era of Fast and Smooth. Especially Smooth! Smooth is more challenging than Fast - a true test of hardware and software.

The new product is just beautiful - I can't wait for you to see it! 😬✨ pic.twitter.com/yPU9sEbeIv
The device shown in the teaser apparently has a curved design, hinting at the no-notch design for the alleged OnePlus 7 Pro variant. The extra bias towards smoothness compared to speed is noticeable too.
A similar announcement on Shina Weibo featured the following note from Pete:
Sorry, let everyone wait. I can finally talk to you about new products today. I am very confident to tell you that adding new products will lead the industry into a new era of “fluent” experience. This is also the “most smooth one plus phone” I have used, and we will redefine the light & smooth.
Think about the most intuitive and most intense experience for mobile phones. Each of us slides more than 2,000 times a day on our mobile phone, and the sliding effect directly affects our visual experience. This is why we have been working tirelessly for the ultimate fluency. To achieve the ultimate fluency, the hardware selection, system optimization, software architecture have put forward higher requirements, is also a manifestation of a brand’s comprehensive capabilities.
At this moment, I presume that he wanted to describe the popup selfie camera and associated ‘smoothness’ as well.
Ps. The look of the new product is just a word “beauty”. I can describe it with “every time I see it.” It seems like I said a little more today
The definition of ‘beauty’ is variable, but the seriousness of OnePlus in product design has even been recognized by the iF International Forum Design committee.
Wow! We won 4 prizes at the International Forum Design Awards! Thanks for helping us make this happen. Get all the info here 👉 https://t.co/p6sAtsLV2I pic.twitter.com/3XA8jDPdME

Let’s hope OnePlus is planning to unveil the OnePlus 7 lineup with a number of innovative and beautiful features.
One such feature has been leaked anyway, courtesy to Ishan (once again!). We should experience a much better vibration motor.
Wanna know one more thing? It will new and BETTER Vibration Motor for Haptic Feedback! OnePlus is really looking forward to put everything in this phone, just what I wanted. 😌 #OnePlus7Pro #OnePlus7 #OnePlus #OnePlus7Series

Steve H.McFly aka OnLeaks, on the other hand, took some time to clear out the confusions regarding the screen size of OnePlus 7/7 Pro. According to him, phone maker often exaggerate the size of the display panel with a simple trick.
Thanks @JuhaKokkonen for that relevant question which gives me the opportunity to explain why the display sizes I reveal are usually around 0.2-inches bellow the official (and misleading IMO) sizes stated by manufacturers... https://t.co/QGLK4oumlD

He further added 4 new renders of the regular variant of OnePlus 7 in the previous collection. Apart from the wallpaper, they were pretty much same as the earlier ones.
Case makers usually get these CAD designs much earlier than actual product release, as they need to prepare the design of the cases/covers based on the model.
Now UK based case maker Olixar has updated their portfolio, which features multiple cases (bumper, leather, carbon fibre etc.) of OnePlus 7 (Pro).
Although the description says nothing about ‘Pro’, the design (popup front camera, SIM slot at bottom) clearly indicates that.
Amidst the rain of leaks, OnePlus has finally announced the first community beta of OxygenOS 9.0 (based on Android 9.0 Pie) for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.
