Holi, the springtime festival of color in Indian subcontinent is almost here. OnePlus India team, however, decided to celebrate it a couple of days before. Head over to the 31st daily dose of OnePlus related news and experience the fun, zeal and adventure.
OnePlus officials like Pete Lau and Szymon Kopeć was present there to enjoy the vibrant combination of music, food, sweets, ‘thandai’ as well as a lot of colors alongside the community members.
However, Carl Pei could not make it there. He seemed really upset for that.

If these tips are not enough, there’s more to do with the camera of your OnePlus phone.
OnePlus started a mobile filmmaking competition in collaboration with eminent Italian filmmaker Giacomo Mantovani. In the introductory session, Giacomo talked about the basics of storytelling.
The second part has been released as well. The team carefully picked 45 entries from the initial stage. Their next task is to come up with a storyboard for their shirt film.
Your next step will be to create a storyboard for your short film. Have a good look at Giacomo’s video and then create your own storyboard. We’ll send you a link where you can upload your storyboard, so be sure to check your email and forums account.
Your short film should be between five and ten minutes and your storyboard should depict this. You don’t have to be an artist to do this – just keep it simple, easy to understand and ensure that the story flows.
The entries should be submitted before 24 March, 11:59 HKT (UTC +8). Competitors may get some help from Giacomo’s second tutorial:
Meanwhile, OnePlus USA team started a crazy but funny game via their Twitter profile:
Tag a friend - if they don't respond in 5 mins they have to buy you a #OnePlus6T Good Luck!😬
— OnePlus➕ (@OnePlus_USA) March 19, 2019
As you can see, the rule(s) of the game is pretty simple. If a friend of yours fails to ping you back after within five minutes after tagging, they must buy you a shiny OnePlus 6T.
Youtube Modern Dad quickly exploited the challenge and tagged Carl Pei!

Well well well, Carl did show up and behaved like a true sportsman:

Although, the social team behind the OnePlus USA twitter handle should expect something shocking.

Carl’s sharp eyes also caught the phone in a picture shared by India national cricket team (male) captain Virat Kohli.

Are we going to get a new brand ambassador for the upcoming OnePlus 7 in India? Only time will tell.
Moving on, the OnePlus 3/3T community has got a really thrilling news today. Readers may remember that OnePlus Community Manager David Y. talked about some unexpected glitches in the CTS evaluation process on their work-in-progress Pie build for the phone duo.
He also considered an alternate solution. The Chinese OnePlus phones run HydrogenOS / H2OS, which does not ship with Google apps. It also means that publishing a build of it to the public doesn’t require to pass Google’s CTS process.
Luckily, the solution seems to be accepted by OnePlus internal management committee. They have announced the Hydrogen OS 9.0 beta tester recruitment in China for OnePlus 3 and 3T.
To participate in this closed beta testing, users need to have at least one OnePlus 3/3T. They should be familiar with Hydrogen OS, its UI elements and functionalities. Oh, the average online presence should be greater than 30 hours per week.
Interested users need to fill up an online form. Afterwards the eligible candidates will added to a private QQ group for further communication.
At this moment, it is completely unclear whether OnePlus may launch the same build for global users to satisfy the impatient users or they wait for the OOS build to pass CTS and release it afterwards.
Allow me to finish here. Enjoy the radiant colors of Holi!
