Oh no! It’s the moronic monday again!
I guess it would be better to bring some vibrant colors in our daily dose of OnePlus news. Sounds good enough? Let’s do that!
On 6th March, OnePlus India team announced about a Holi celebration event in Delhi. Shameless promotion, but we did talk about this in our daily dose as well. ?
The event was scheduled on March 16, i.e. last Saturday. Call it a coincidence – OnePlus team also invited Zack Nelson, popularly known as JerryRigEverything, in India. A fan meet was arranged at OnePlus Experience Store in Connaught Place on March 17.
This Sunday, we're glad to have @ZacksJerryRig at the OnePlus Experience Store in Delhi for a special Meet and Greet session! Catch him live 6:30PM onwards on the 17th of March. More details here 👉 https://t.co/EATYHK146e pic.twitter.com/URr5BI1maA

Delhi guys were really thrilled to notice that Zack decided to show up at the Holi celebration. That’s not it, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau and legendary Irish artist Kevin Abosch were present there as well!
Guess who showed up at #OnePlusHoli? Yes, it's none other @ZacksJerryRig. What a blast we all had yesterday. Thanks @petelau2007 @getpeid @OnePlus_IN. Keep rocking.#Holi pic.twitter.com/R1nxBxSJ7P

In case readers may not be aware, Kevin is a frequent collaborator with OnePlus. Perhaps he needed to get a couple of inspirations from the festival of colors to tip OnePlus about camera processing improvements. Weird flex but ok!
As a matter of fact, OnePlus has shared a cute little tutorial to perfectly capture your favorite moments in this upcoming Holi season with OnePlus 6T.
This Holi, don't miss that perfect shot with Burst Mode on the OnePlus 6T.

JerryRigEverything, ahem (!), Zack participated in the fan meetup event on the next day according to the schedule amidst enormous fanfare.

Besides these community events, OnePlus 3 and 3T users from across the globe are anxiously waiting for an update from David Y., the Community Manager of OnePlus. Yes, we are talking about the same official Android 9 Pie update saga.
On March 15, David announced that the software development team submitted a beta build of Pie for CTS. The process should take ‘at least 4 days’ to complete.
Good news: Our software team solved the OTA issue. Currently, we are in the CTS process, which has at least 4 days to go. (We are talking about the beta build)
Stay patient and hope for the best.
Cheers!
In an unexpected turn of events, they encountered some issues – as reported by David. The team will apply another round of CTS after squashing the bug(s). Meanwhile, they are planning to launch the Pie update in form of Hydrogen OS.
As HydrogenOS / H2OS is intended for China, this variant does not ship with Google apps. As a consequence, publishing a build doesn’t require to pass Google’s CTS process.
At this time, OnePlus 3/3T users can only hope (or switch to a custom ROM :P).
Meanwhile, Pete made up his mind (probably after attending the Holi event) and started a discussion via Weibo with OnePlus fans regarding the design of the front camera. He asked everyone to pick from the available options, e.g. waterdrop notch, mechanical slider, display hole and justify the reason.
Let’s be reasonable: after all these leaks of the CAD renders and cases, the design of the upcoming OnePlus 7 should be finalized long ago. Is this merely a way to justify the choice? Or perhaps will we see something interesting on the upcoming 5G phone?
Talking about leaks, eminent leaked Ice Universe has posted a picture, which allegedly looks like a case for OnePlus 7.

What do you think, is that a dent or unpolished gradient on top of the camera hole? Do let us know by commenting below.
The image is almost inline with previous case leak by GizmoChina. The material looks identical as well.
On the other hand, the guys over NashvilleChatterClass has spotted a new device from OnePlus in the Bluetooth SIG listing.
Alleged OnePlus 7 (GM1915) Phone Certified by Bluetooth SIG Ahead of Q2 2019 Release https://t.co/4p7MPkg4Gs
— Nashville Chatter (@Nashville_Chat) March 18, 2019
The listing, which has been submitted today (18th March) only tells us that a smartphone with the model number GM1915 from OnePlus contains a Bluetooth 5.0 compliant chip. The software version (9.5.1.GM31CB) could be an indicator of the upcoming OxygenOS 9.5 branch.
Moreover, the model number doesn’t match with the usual pattern of OnePlus phones. They start with ‘A’, like ‘A0001’ is OnePlus One and ‘A6010/A6013’ belongs to OnePlus 6T. Are we looking at the yet-to-be-named OnePlus 5G phone?
At the end of the day, I presume the Monday is not that moronic! Ciao!
