Creating something out of the blue is a fascinating capability. I really admire the painters, sculptors, writers – everyone associated with creative arts for their originality and imaginative powers.

In this gadget-centric century, the domains of creativity have found a number of new branches. We now have the concept artists, who are designer as well as expert in corresponding fields. Without their contributions, prototyping would be extremely difficult.

In past, we did see the impact of prototyping in case of OnePlus. The Shenzhen based OEM experimented with a truckload of back panels before launching the limited edition ‘Thunder Purple’ edition of  OnePlus 6T.

It is evident that mock-ups are not just limited to back panel, but every other components. The end users seldom get to know the backstage preparatory steps.

And there are these independent artists, who like to do it for fun. You know – creativity, brilliance and madness eventually converge with each other.

We talked about Concept Creator in past. He’s such a person who loves to create stunning concept videos of gadgets – including OnePlus phones.

FYI, the above video was a early speculative creation by him.

One of his recents tweets revealed that he was working on a fresh new video of OnePlus 7, after the leak of high quality CAD renders of the same by OnLeaks.

OnePlus enthusiasts can easily spot the similarities between the work-in-progress concept and the leaked renders.

Some random Chinese guy decided to put a watermark and share the video in Weibo. The consequence? We now have a fresh leak of OnePlus 7 from China!

Kidding apart, we got our hands on some serious intel as well. Although, they are not about OnePlus 7.

In yesterday’s daily dose of OnePlus related news, we talked about Android 9 Pie OTA update status of OnePlus 3/3T and possible roadmap of the update rollout.

David Y., OnePlus Community Manager, has spiced up the scene by posting a screenshot of a slightly older build of OxygenOS 9.0 running on OnePlus 3.

The build shown in the picture was compiled on 8th March. And yes, the Android version is 9 aka Pie.

He has also shared that the development team is able to iron out the ‘OTA issue’. They are currently going through the CTS process, which may need ‘at least 4 days’.

Good news: Our software team solved the OTA issue. Currently, we are in the CTS process, which has at least 4 days to go. (We are talking about the beta build)

Stay patient and hope for the best.

Cheers!

Cross your fingers OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users! Good things come to those who wait.

BTW, that CTS aka Compatibility Test Suite is a set of tests designed by Google to ensure the compatibility of the device firmware with certain standards. If a device fails to pass CTS, then the OEM can’t ship it with the Google Play Store and/or other Google services pre-installed.

Probably that’s why you can now grab the OnePlus 6T with some sweet deals. The OEM partnered with Amazon India to offer potential buyers an incredible six months of no-cost-EMI option.

Part of the March Madness deal, customers can also get ₹2,000 cashback as Amazon Pay balance after purchasing the phone. There are offers on select banks as well as carriers like Reliance Jio.

Jio’s offer comes with an instant cashback worth ₹5,400 and up to 3 TB of 4G data. Buyers are also eligible to get free accidental and liquid damage protection insurance on opening a Kotak 811 account.

Knock knock, March 21 is the last date to snatch the deal!

Wait, there’s more for Indian OnePlus fans.
