Until a few years ago, you would have to spend a small fortune to get a flagship processor inside a smartphone. Of course, an array of both gimmicky and essential features would accompany the chipset.
Well, that changed in 2014 when OnePlus came up with their first device. People couldn’t believe they were getting Snapdragon 801 with all essential features for as low as $299. Setting aside the OnePlus 2, almost all their offerings captured the market by a storm.
Today, on the official forum, OnePlus CEO has shared how their upcoming smartphone (OnePlus 7T, of course) is going to look like. And, they are doing it for the first time- sharing the design of the yet-to-be-launched flagship on the forum.
To recall, it’s only in May this year, the OEM released OnePlus 7 series. For the same reason, an all new series within four months may strike as a letdown for those who are using OnePlus 7 or 7 Pro. But you must know, that’s how the brand has been, right after their third device. Anyway, let’s now delve into the design of the upcoming phone!
From what’s shared on the forum, a triple camera setup is evident on the back. Unlike the previous models, the brand has gone with a circular design where the three sensors reside on a horizontal diameter. Just below the central sensor is what seems to be an LED flash.
The CEO, Pete Lau’s post read they went through fifty design iterations to finally stick to what you see above. The back is carved out of fourth generation matte-frosted glass.
He focused solely on the design profile rather than on the specifications. For the same reason, you will have to disappoint yourself in case you were waiting to read the unique features on OnePlus 7T. As a tech enthusiast, you can easily guess the chipset inside, it’s going to be Snapdragon 855. No, we don’t think they will opt for 855+.
So, when are you going to see it live? Well, the forum post has an answer to that. On September 26, we are going to see the device live in an event. Moreover, the tech fraternity anticipates they would unveil the much-hyped OnePlus TV on the same day. No wordings on 7T Pro, yet!
