The mobile industry is a brutal one. It has laid claim to a number of giant casualties, one of them being Motorola. Many might not know this but, Motorola is the company that pioneered the cellphone industry.
Motorola came into existence way back in 1928. However, the first handheld mobile phone took 45 more years to materialize. Motorola was also the biggest seller of handsets until Nokia overtook them in 1998. Some pretty impressive accomplishments for a company that is struggling today.
Motorola is now owned by Lenovo. Motorola One Power is one of their best offers today as a mid-ranger, albeit being slightly older. But even being owned by Lenovo is not a bed of roses.
Motorola devices are generally shipped with a fork of Android that is really close to stock – kinda like what Android One is today. They boasted of speedy Android updates, but that crown has since gone to Nokia.
Many OEMs have already rolled out the November Security patch to their devices. These include the likes of Nokia, Samsung, and some Xiaomi devices. Today, Motorola is rolling out the same to the Moto One Power.
The Android Pie based update brings no additional features and the changelog is as generic as they come. This update patches up your Moto One Power’s system, bringing the security patch level to November 1.

Android 10
More and more phone makers continue to carry out beta tests on their Android 10 builds for their devices. Early this month, the Moto One Power started receiving Android 10 as a closed beta.
Meaning, not everyone can get their hands on this update. Nonetheless, the availability even in the form of closed beta is an indication that it
will come soon as stable build.
The Motorola One Power would be part of the first batch of phones from the company to get an Android 10 update. Users will be able to download the updates automatically from their phone’s update section once it is available.
The Motorola One Power was released back in October 2018 and is powered by the Snapdragon 636 and comes in 3/4/6 GB of RAM options. At the back, it sports a dual-camera 16+5 MP setup and in the front, a 12 MP selfie camera. Under the hood, the device packs in a massive 5,000 mAh battery and has a fingerprint scanner at the back.
