Xiaomi has taken a huge leap with the MIUI 12 update and its development is still going on as the latest custom skin is yet to reach several Xiaomi devices.
While MIUI 12 nightly builds keep on releasing for Xiaomi’s beta testers in China, new features will still take some time to hit the stable channel.
Also, latest features are first made available for the Chinese variants of Xiaomi devices which further delays things for the global variants.
Now, a new feature has come to light from the Chinese MIUI 12 ROM which further enhances the user experience.
The Device connectivity feature allows seamless audio switching between connected Bluetooth speakers and phone.
This basically means that users will not have to disconnect their Bluetooth speaker in case they want to play music or answer a call on their phone.
The small yet handy feature can be activated by accessing the Bluetooth Additional settings and enabling the Notify about Bluetooth device connections option.
Once enabled, users can select between the Default, This device, Bluetooth (Media), and Bluetooth (Calls) options from the Select audio output notification page as per their convenience.
Since this feature is currently available only on the Chinese ROM, it may take some time to reach the global MIUI 12 ROM along with other anticipated improvements.
It was reported earlier that recent MIUI 12 updates brought several improvements for Mi Browser, Super Wallpapers, and Control Center.
Nevertheless, it is unclear when these enhancements will reach global Xiaomi devices as the OEM has not made any announcements regarding the same yet.
It is still good to see that Xiaomi is constantly enhancing its latest custom UI as new features and improvements keep on surfacing.
That said, we will keep tracking the development of MIUI 12 and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
In the meantime, you can check out our MIUI 12 update tracker to get the latest updates on the topic.
