New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on March 26, 2020) follows:
Xiaomi has had a pretty chaotic past couple of weeks. A lot of back and forth about the Mi A3 update to Android 10 and when the update finally dropped, it was so bug-ridden that it had to be recalled, then re-released.
But even that pales compared to the chaos that surrounded the Android 10 update to the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite. Many users reported their devices getting bricked after updating to Android 10.
There is a workaround for the unfortunate users who find themselves with a bricked device on their hands and you can read more about that here.
Things have since cooled down but many users still face issues after updating their Mi A2 Lite to Android 10. As expected, Xiaomi is working on a bug-fix update for the device but even that, is taking time.
Granted, China is facing issues with the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic and to some extent, that could be thought to be part of the reason why all this development is taking time, or having issues.
That said, according to reports, Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite users should expect a comprehensive bugfix update with the March 2020 Android security patch update.
When asked when the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite would get updated to the February 2020 Android security patch level, a Xiaomi Forum moderator proceeds to explain that the device wouldn’t get February update but instead, get the March update towards the end of the month.
There was no update from February, earlier this month security was renewed to February, but in late release of March patch, very soon it will be released with Android 10 initial bug fix.

Please note that the above has been directly translated from Chinese using an online tool so some details might have been lost in translation. The general takeaway is that the March update would bring more bugfixes.
The same moderator in another post by a user, complaining about the effects of Android 10 on the speed of the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite says:
Yes, but I recommend that you factory reset after updating to patch in March which will be a build with bug fixes. It will be available very soon.

It is, therefore, pretty clear that most of the issues facing users who have updated their Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite to Android 10 will be addressed in the upcoming bugfix, March security patch update.
If your device’s issues are a little too pronounced or you cannot wait for the rollout of the bugfix update, Xiaomi wants you to get RMA or visit service center for assistance.
