New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

The third generation Android One phone from Xiaomi, i.e. the Mi A3, faced a massive backslash from the community. Although the phone comes with an AMOLED display panel, the screen resolution is far less than its predecessor. Moreover, there is no sign of Android 10 update as of yet.

Matter of fact, there is no official word about the ETA of Android 10 OTA for older gen Xiaomi Android phones, such as the Mi A2 family. Keeping aside the rumors, both Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite picked up Android Pie based November security patches yesterday.

What about Mi A1? Well, the Snapdragon 625 powered smartphone already got two major updates: from Nougat to Oreo and Android Pie afterwards. The chipset is capable enough to run Android 10, but we still don’t know about Xiaomi’s internal planning about it.

What we do know is the November security patch is now available for Mi A1. This is kinda early compared to previous months, and there is no surprise in the changelog (expected!).

Other
– Optimization: Increased system stability
– Optimization: Reduced system lag

Regarding the version numbering, the newest build is tagged as V10.0.15.0.PDHMIXM. FYI, the October patch carried the version number of V10.0.14.0.PDHMIXM.

The file size of the incremental patch (~86 MB) is similar to that of Mi A2/A2 Lite. Interestingly, neither the European or the global variant of Mi A3 received the latest patchset from Xiaomi at the time of writing this article.

The rollout for Mi A1 actually started yesterday, and it is now gradually expanding to various countries across the globe. As always, we have the full update zip ready for the adventurous minds who want to skip the queue and get the fun of sideloading.
