Tesla is one of the most innovative automobile tech companies of all time.

The company provides a plethora of useful features that result in a safer and enhanced driving experience. One of the most used features is ‘Park Assist.’

It uses a combination of cameras and sensors that enables hassle-free parking.

Nonetheless, like all smart devices, Tesla cars are prone to software bugs and issues.

The latest bug haunting Tesla owners is the ‘Park Assist Unavailable‘ issue.

According to several Tesla users, the feature is currently not working and sometimes pops up when driving.

New Tesla owner here wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and if so did you take it in for service or were you able to fix it yourself. I’ve only had my Tesla for about 3 weeks and unfortunately today when I went for a drive, every time I come to a stop I get the warning message “Park assist unavailable”.

I also tested autopilot to see if it was a sensor error and autopilot works fine but when I try to make it change lanes on autopilot, it gives me more errors and says something along the lines of auto lane change is temporarily unavailable. I’ve scheduled a service appointment in the mean time but hoping it magically goes away or someone has some pro tips 🙂 Thanks!

Anyone else lose park assist after the latest update? I was having intermittent issues and Tesla said it’s a firmware issue. Got the update last night, and now it’s broken again. Tried the two thumb reset, power off and wait in car. Nothing worked. This is getting annoying!

People also reported that they could not hear the chime audible feedback that alerts users when Park Assist is enabled.

While Tesla insisted that it was a sensor issue, later on, the company admitted the fact that it is a firmware issue. User reports indicate that the problem started after the April 11 update.

Allegedly, Tesla is working on a fix and might release an update that fixes the ‘Park Assist Unavailable’ bug.

While the company is quick to fix any impending issues, we wonder why it is taking so long for Tesla to fix Park Assist.
