Smartphones have gone beyond being a simple device for communicating to a device meant for fulfilling our entertainment plus work needs. Moreover, brands have also taken things seriously and are bringing in new innovative features with every update.

OEMs these days, are not only concerned about the hardware aspects of the smartphone but also about the inner software features that makes the actual difference in user experience.

Brands like Huawei, OnePlus, Xiaomi and Samsung have their own set of features that are exclusive to their phones and are the big reasons for having such a loyal user base.

And talking about new features, Huawei has made the Link Turbo feature available for the Huawei Nova 6 series. Notably, it is arriving for the Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G devices in China via a new update.

In simple words, Link Turbo improves the network connectivity by smartly switching between WiFi and 4G networks in order to deliver optimal results.

Leveraging AI and big data technologies, Link Turbo automatically analyze users’ usage models and network conditions to figure out the best way to deliver an optimal result, and switch seamlessly between Wi-Fi or 4G networks to boost downloading speed by simultaneously adopting both networks.

Besides, the interesting feature of Link Turbo is that it allows the users to manually set different networks for selected apps. For instance, you can set WiFi for heavy data-using apps like gaming apps or torrent and set mobile data for banking and other data-lite apps.

Previously, this feature was available for Honor View 20 and later on, Huawei began beta testing Link Turbo on Honor 9X series devices before EMUI 10 stable roll-out.

Coming back to the update, it also brings in some enhancements for camera and system stability for Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G. Besides, it arrives with the version number V10.0.1.135 and weighs in around 592 MB in size.
