The first time we reported about an LG V30 Android Pie software update was back in late July. The update, as we have come to get accustomed to with LG updates, was first spotted in South Korea and Europe.
In August, more LG V30 users continued to receive the update to Android Pie, however, things went south a few weeks into the update after reports started emerging that the software was buggy. Most reports came from Australian users, forcing LG to halt the rollout.
The halt didn’t just affect LG V30 users in Australia, but also those in Europe as well. LG has since worked on fixing the buggy software and pushed a stable version in Europe and Australia, with the most recent arriving as part of the September security patch.
The V30 Pie update has also been pushed to units in Hong Kong, India, and even on Verizon Wireless in the U.S, but not every V30 user has received the OTA just yet.
While this was happening, those in Canada have had to deal with several LG V30 Android Pie beta updates, but not anymore. The last beta update came out a couple or so weeks ago and today, the stable version is now available to download through multiple Canadian carriers.
According to a report by My LG Phones, there is a new LG V30 Android Pie update arriving as version H93330K and this time, it isn’t another beta version, instead, its the stable Pie build. Besides Pie, the update also installs a new September 2019 security patch.
Apparently, the V30 Pie update is not only airborne, but it can also be grabbed via the LG Bridge as long as your device has model number H933. The update can be installed on any V30 variant sold through Rogers, Bell, Telus, and Videotron.
If you opt to wait for the OTA, it may take several days before you receive the LG V30 Android Pie update, but it’s the only hassle-free method at hand. Just so you know, the Pie update is the second and last major OS upgrade for this device.
