In mid-November 2019, Lenovo held an Innovation and Technology Conference in Beijing where a couple or so things went down. One of the highlights of the show was the launch of the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G in a Dark Blue finish.

The Z6 Pro 5G is the company’s first to support the high-speed network, but this wasn’t the first time the device was coming to light. The phone was first announced in June and later released for the first time in September in a Red finish.

Despite arriving at a time when Android 10 was ready, Lenovo went with Android 9 Pie and ZUI 11 on top out of the box with a promise to upgrade the device to the new OS. Well, the company didn’t waste time.

As of this writing, not only can Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G owners try the new Android 10 OS in beta, but they can also get an early look into something the company has been working on to take on Samsung DeX. The name is Lenovo One.

With Lenovo One, you can connect the Z6 Pro 5G to a Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth and enjoy high-speed file transfer or even mirror the phone’s screen on the computer so that you can control it from there.

Even better is that the early adoption program is not only open to the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G, but also the standard Z6 Pro model. The latter picked up its Android 10 beta 4 with ZUI 11.5 a couple or so weeks ago, but the stable rollout has yet to arrive.

As noted, you also need a Windows 10 PC to enjoy this feature and apparently, the company says only the YOGA S940 and C940 laptops are supported at this point in time, but more models will be added in future.

Your Windows PC must also be running at least build 1803, have Bluetooth connectivity (above 3.0), wireless network card, and preferably 8GB or more RAM and 128GB or more storage. Check out everything Lenovo One brings in this post.

You can fill out the registration details here to try Lenovo One on your Z6 Pro or Z6 Pro 5G, but make sure to read the detailed announcement post before you proceed.

A techy. Besides phones, I also enjoy the farm, music, football, and, of course, food.
