Xiaomi’s Note series is the most successful in the Redmi family of phones, be it in the home country of China or other markets like India.
In a period of one year dating back to October 2018, we have witnessed the launch of three generations of Redmi Note devices. The Redmi Note 6 Pro arrived last year and earlier this year, the Redmi Note 7 made its debut.
As of this writing, the Redmi Note 8 and its variants are already up for grabs in several markets across the globe, with India among the most recent to join the party.
It was quite unfortunate that Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 series running MIUI 10 out of the box. Even more amusing is that the Redmi Note 8 update that is expected to bring MIUI 11 won’t arrive until somewhere in mid-November, at least going by this MIUI 11 update roadmap.
As it stands, the Redmi Note 7 is the company’s top-most priority in the Redmi Note series as far as MIUI 11 updates are concerned, but this doesn’t mean there won’t be any Redmi Note 8 updates between now and the arrival of MIUI 11.
In fact, the device is already receiving its second minor update in India as MIUI 10.3.3.0.PCOINXM, up from version 10.3.1 that rolled out mid this month. The OTA weighs in at 188MB and as per the changelog, it is here to fix an issue where sound would occasionally disappear during phone calls.
This issue had been reported by several Redmi Note 8 users on various platforms and apparently, it was evident when using wired headphones to receive or make phone calls.
Whenever I use some wired earphone to talk the call gets blank. Neither I nor the other person is able to hear me. The call goes completely mute . I have replaced and I am using the replaced product. But still this has the same problem. Please fix this issue
