Realme 3 Pro was the first from the company to receive a stable version of the new Realme UI based on Android 10 back in January 2020, with the Realme XT following suit soon after.

Since then, the device has received a couple or so updates aimed at ironing out kinks brought by the new OS, adding new features as well as beefing up the security and privacy of those using the device.

The most recent update arrived as version C.04 and tagged along the March security patch alongside a bunch of bug fixes and performance optimizations. But while at it, this same update also triggered a couple or so battery-related issues.

According to multiple reports in the Realme community forums, the recent Realme 3 Pro C.04 update causes excessive battery draining like never seen before. The same update has also been reported to cause overheating when charging the phone.

But the most annoying bug is the one causing prolonged charging time for some Realme 3 Pro users to over 100 minutes. This is frustrating considering the device supports 20W fast charging that Realme says should leave the 4045mAh battery half-full after 30 minutes of charging.

Not only are affected Realme 3 Pro owners flooding the company’s official community forums to vent their anger for pushing a buggy firmware to the device, but also social media platform Twitter.

Multiple reports are doing rounds on the popular platform demanding that Realme address the issues as soon as possible.
