Apple wants to keep their ecosystem so closed that they develop exclusive firmware for their devices. You know you can’t find a smartphone other than iPhones, with iOS! The exclusivity has its own benefits, though (fewer attacks, for example).
The first generation of the operating system went live back in 2007. Apparently, iOS has come a long way since then. The latest to go out is iOS 13, which saw the light on 19 September 2019, a day before the launch of iPhone 11 series.
Unlike the previous versions, iOS 13 is putting the company behind the bars due to various bugs. We have already reported the crashing issue of iOS Gmail app on opening music files. Moreover, Outlook users are having duplicate message problems on the default Mail app.
The woes even continue with Personal Hotspot feature and Siri. The changes pertaining to the latest release even affected notifications on Fitbit wearables. The problems don’t even leave Apple Watch users unhurt. They are finding troubles with voice memo syncing.
Apple doesn’t allow us to customise much on their platform. In case you are adamant about changing the default options, you will have to tackle the limitations through a process called jailbreaking. Ever since the iOS 13 had gone live, people were trying to do it effectively.
The Cupertino tech giant fixes vulnerabilities with their each build. For the same reason, you may not be able to jailbreak two iOS versions through the same method. If you are looking to jailbreak iOS 13.2, your quest will end soon.
A developer (@qwertyoruiopz) has teased his jailbroken iPod touch running on iOS 13.2. Unfortunate for the users that the teaser on Twitter doesn’t have an estimated time of arrival. But we hope he will publicise it without delaying much.
The jailbreak does contain Cydia, Zebra, and Installer. Meaning, you will never be having issues installing third party apps using their respective IPA files. The exploit he used for the process is checkra1n.
To recall, many fake jailbreak websites have been popping up on the web right from the official iOS 13 release. Mostly such sites lure you in to make money through adware. Maybe, they will even gain access to your personal data through malicious file injection. So, don’t fall victim to fake promises.
