@ING_Aust just thought you should know it isn’t just the app etc. not working - literally everything isn’t. Couldn’t withdraw cash or pay by card.

Just last week, one of the top US banks Wells Fargo suffered a catastrophic outage. And today, Australia’s ING has suffered a similar major outage, with the bank’s app, online banking, phone lines, card payments, and even ATMs not working in some cases.
Here are some reports:
@ING_Aust I’m at the florist trying to get flowers for my valentine. If I don’t get laid tomorrow I’m switching banks!!!

For its part, the institution has acknowledged the glitch, calling it ‘unexpected’.

It’s been over an hour and the outage is still ongoing. Customers, meanwhile, are demanding the bank at least provides them regular updates.

Some are even asking for compensation:
This should be illegal. Massive fines and compensation for customers should be enforced. There should be a backup for the backup that backs up the backup and then some when it comes to offering financial services like banking, mortgages etc.
