Huawei brought in the P30 Pro smartphone back in March 2019. The device top-notch specs like Kirin 980, 6/8 GB of RAM, a 4,200 mAh battery along with a 6.47-inch OLED display.
Known for their camera performance, the device packs in a 40 MP primary camera sensor with three additional modules at the rear while it gets a 32 MP selfie shooter. The device features an under-display fingerprint scanner along with fast charging support of up to 40W.
Recently, we have reported that the both global & Chinese variants of Huawei P30 Pro were getting a stable EMUI 10 update based on Android 10 that brought in tons of new features for the device.
However, the OTA rollout is delayed in some of the regions. Nevertheless, it’s time to rejoice as you can now force update the EMUI 10 on Huawei P30/P30 Pro via HiCare app itself if you are stuck with EMUI 9.1.
Cherry on top, the November 2019 security patch is landing on the phone duo.The update bumps the version number from 10.0.0.168 to 10.0.0.173 and weighs in around 150 MB.
Notably, it is purely an incremental update and also bundles fixes related to system freezing. Below is the screenshot of the update prompt received by one of the users:
On the other hand, plenty of users who are unable to receive the regular OTA are reportedly installing the latest iteration of the EMUI i.e. EMUI 10 based on Android 10 via the HiCare app.
You can head here to download the HiCare app on your device. Once you have download the HiCare app then you need to tap on the Update icon among others to grab the EMUI 10 update.
However, some of the users have reported that the Update icon is missing on their HiCare app. But one of the users claimed that changing the region to China brings the update icon on the HiCare app via which the EMUI 10 update can be downloaded.
Brasilian Hicare don’t have the update icon. Change your country in hicare configuration to China, then you will see the icon.
