What’s one paramount difference between Android and iOS? The level of personalisation is what pushes the two, poles apart, from a user’s perspective. When it comes to manufacturers, the degree of customization goes up the ladder.

Take custom interfaces from different companies for example. In order to stand out from the rest, Asus (ZenUI), Xiaomi (MIUI), OnePlus (OxygenOS), and Huawei (EMUI) add their own flavours on top of the default platform.

Now that Android 10 is live, every user is looking forward to having it on their device. But, heavily skinned Android versions take a bit longer than stock to get updated to the latest firmware. As for Huawei, they are testing their Android 10-based EMUI 10 in beta.

In case you are not aware, the company had invited the first wave of P30/P30 Pro EMUI 10 beta testers in the beginning of this month. And, they even started rolling out the update to selected users. Pff!! Did you not sign up?

Don’t worry! They have come yet again. This time, the brand says, they will take in unlimited number of users. However, not all can log the feedback and send them back to the company. Note that you need to be a P30 or P30 user to get the update.

The recruitment window is already open. In case you want to get in, you will have to register before September 30, 24:00 (China Standard Time). For that, they need you to fill a form. Incorrect entries will cost you the update, though.

Before you jump into the registration process, ensure a few things. First off, verify the current EMUI version on your P30/ P30 Pro. It should be 9.1.0.193 (go to Settings>> System>> About phone to check). Moreover, they want your phone in raw condition without root.

Using the beta may not be as pleasing as using the stable build. You may get a few bugs, and some banking applications may not work. Given the nascent stage of Android 10, not all the applications work flawlessly as well. So, you must bear all these in mind prior to signing up for EMUI 10 beta.

The official post on the Huawei Club website says the OTA will rollout in October. Not to mention, they follow batch-wise delivery for this one too. Meaning, some may get it earlier than others.
