Following the footsteps of its arch-rival Samsung, Huawei has also joined the bandwagon and just like Samsung made the One UI 2.1 that brings some more improvements and features to the Android 10 running Samsung phones, Huawei is also ready with its new software i.e. the EMUI 10.1.

The motive of this new version of the custom UI, i.e. the EMUI 10.1 will be the same as the One UI 2.1 and that is to provide some extra features and improvements to the Android 10 running Huawei phones.

Talking about the features, this new EMUI 10.1 will be bringing multi-window, multi-device control panel, multi-screen collaboration, Huawei MeeTime (video conferencing app), and Huawei’s very own voice assistant “Ceilia” for the eligible devices.

Besides, the Chinese OEM already took off with the EMUI 10.1 internal beta recruitment for Huawei devices at the beginning of this month, and the testing schedule has also been shared.

And as are writing this post, two Huawei devices have already been ticked off from the list of devices that are picking up the EMUI 10.1 (Android 10) updates.

The EMUI 10.1 OTA is arriving for the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro with the version number V10.1.0.118 for the users in China. Moreover, users are advised to be running on version V10.0.0.221 to be eligible to grab this new update.

Huawei Mate 30 Series

The Huawei Mate 30 Series that includes the Mate 30 (4G), Mate 30 (5G), Mate 30 Pro (4G), Mate 30 Pro (5G), Mate 30 RS Porsche design are also grabbing the EMUI 10.1 update.

The OTA is arriving on the units with the version number V10.1.0.119 and has been rolled out for the first 150 users of the first batch of internal beta testing.

Moreover, on April 8, all those who have registered for the beta testing will be served with the EMUI 10.1 update.
