Android literally disrupted the smartphone market. Nokia lost its marketshare by a huge margin due to the intrusion of the open-source platform. Reluctant to adapt to the new OS, the Finnish company had to retire from the business.

Google releases a new Android iteration every year. For almost a decade, the search engine titan have been following a custom of naming each version after a dessert. In 2019, they took another route with Android 10.

Different OEMs use different Android overlays to give unique looks to their devices. Google Pixel and Android One smartphones run on the stock version. On the other side of the spectrum lies Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo with heavy skins.

When a new iteration goes live, vendors with themed Android take their own time to update their gadgets to the new version. Take Huawei for example. Android 10-based EMUI 10 stable is yet to find its way to many devices.

To recall, they have started inviting beta users for Huawei Enjoy 10 Plus (Y9 Prime 2019), Mate 20 Lite, and Nova 4e in the first week of October. About a week prior to that, second level EMUI 10 beta invite went live for Huawei P30/ P30 Pro.
