Chinese tech giant Huawei made some pretty big announcements during their recent annual Developer Conference. The OEM spoke about the much-awaited in-house Harmony OS, Android Q based EMUI 10, 5G based IoT tech, and a lot more.

The company has got big plans for the EMUI 10, and has already released the list of devices that’ll get the yet to be released EMUI 10 in the first batch. But before rolling out the new Android Q based EMUI 10, the OEM is after pushing EMUI 9.1 updates to the left out eligible device.

At the beginning of this month, Huawei confirmed that EMUI 9.1 is yet to roll-out to Huawei P Smart 2019, P Smart 2018, Y6 2019, Mate 20 Lite, as well as Mate 9 Pro.

Among the enlisted phones, while Huawei Mate 20 Lite has already received the update, and it looks EMUI 9.1 update is rolling out for Huawei P Smart 2019 as well. Some redditors confirmed the arrival of the EMUI 9.1 update on their POT-LX1 version Huawei P Smart 2019.

Huawei P Smart 2019, as the name suggests was launched in the beginning of this year. Recalling its features, the phone is powered by Kirin 710 Octa-core Processor, and embraces 13MP + 2 MP dual-rear camera setup along with the latest Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box.

The currently circulating EMUI 9.1 update package file is 3GB in size and bumps the version to 9.1.0.262. The update brings the July security patch along with the new EMUI 9.1 features, which includes GPU Turbo 3.0, EROFS technology, Share OneHop, Huawei Vlog, and an improved UI.

The EMUI 9.1 update is live, and you can check your device for updates. If you haven’t received the update notification yet, please be patient, as airborne updates are pushed in batches, and hence may not hit all devices at the same time. In case you don’t wish to wait, here’s the download link:
