Incoming is a service outage alert!
Is HSBC mobile banking app down, not working, or throwing a notification stating “Your mobile banking session has expired. Please log on again“?
Please be informed that the service is seemingly going through an outage in some regions of the UK which has got affected users to route to micro-blogging site Twitter and other online discussion platforms to highlight their concern.

A quick look at Down detector – a service that gives a realtime overview of outages and other issues – reflects HSBC is encountering a glitch in some of the regions. Here’s a live outage map showcasing the same:
Coming to whether there’s an official word on the matter, well, it’s yet to come. But be informed, we’re keeping a continuous tab on the service’s social media and other official channels for more information.

Update 1 (April 19)
HSBC UK twitter support has officially acknowledged the problem and is suggesting users to go for online banking while the issue gets addressed.
We’re aware some customers are having problems using our Mobile Banking app. We’re really sorry and are working hard to fix this. Please use online banking if you can, and check back here for updates.
Update 2 (July 30)
Many frustrated users have once again flocked to Twitter to find out why the HSBC banking app is down or not working again. The problem, however, has not been acknowledged yet.

Update 3 (August 20)
IST 1:30 pm: HSBC UK customers are reportedly facing an outage in the banks’ mobile banking services.
hi, there seems to be an issue with the mobile banking app its saying I’m not connected to WiFi or mobile network but both mobile network and WiFi are working fine?

The bank has since come out to acknowledge this issue affecting mobile and online banking. In a Tweet, the bank says:
We’re aware some customers are having problems using Online & Mobile Banking. We’re really sorry and are working hard to fix this. You can check back here for updates or if your query is urgent please call us on 03457 404 404.

Update 4 (August 21)
04:52 pm (IST): HSBC UK is one again not working or down if user reports are anything to go by. The bank is yet to confirm the same.
