Google has been one of the companies that bring in innovation to develop new high-tech features for the users (like Google Assistant). It depends on the data that it collects via all its services on the Android phone that a user owns.
One of the best features from Google is the Speech recognition that has gone better over the years. However, Google Assistant’s bilingual speech recognition needs to be upped and improved as it is not as good as it could be.
A lot of people who are bi-lingual use this feature for the ease of communication as they might be speaking two or more languages. So, for this, the Assistant’s bilingual support comes pretty handy.
However, a lot of Redditors have reported the errors and issues with the bilingual Google Assistant, where it replies in the wrong language.
In fact, some users have reported that it requires a lot of processing time while using two languages.
Moreover, according to a report, the GBoard messes up when you set up two languages. The GBoard starts switching between the languages in the middle of processing. This gives out gibberish texts without even completely listening to the actual words.
This is pretty annoying for the users and it takes quite a number of repeated tries to get the Assistant understand the accent of the user.
Google is yet to acknowledge the issue of Google Assistant and GBoard’s bilingual speech recognition. Till then, we can only wait and watch for any further developments in this regard.
