Samsung was gearing up for the roll-out of Android 10 update for its compatible devices before the “fingerprint-gate” controversy crept up and somewhat ruined the year for the brand.
To recall, the Galaxy Note 10 lineup got into this controversy along with the Galaxy S10 series. Samsung has pushed the Biometric Update in various regions to address the matter.
However, the company is getting back on track after handling the fingerprint issue and has recently pushed the first beta build of One UI 2.0 for Galaxy Note 10 lineup. Well, now the November 2019 security update is also rolling out.
Notably, the update is available for users in Switzerland via stable channel (i.e. for Android Pie) and is expected to arrive in other regions soon. A similar update arrived for Galaxy S10 in Switzerland which also tagged along with another fingerprint firmware update.
With this new update, the Exynos powered Galaxy Note 10 devices have become one of those few devices that have been served with the November 2019 update before others.
Talking about the update, it carries the build number ASJG which is a minor jump from the October build (ASJ2). FYI, the current One UI 2.0 beta build for Galaxy Note 10/Note 10+ is also equipped with the same patch level as the new OTA.
The official tracker for the Galaxy Note 10 is not yet updated. It is still showing October 2019 security patch level. You can check out the image for yourself:
But, we were able to grab the update using software called Frija. It downloads the firmware directly from Samsung’s Firmware Update Server (FUS) and has features like automatic decryption and bundle creation.
Talking about the update grabbed via Frija, it weighs in about 5.6 GB in size. So, we would recommend using a stable WiFi connection for downloading this huge update for Galaxy Note 10/Note 10+.
Notably, the update will arrive via OTA in batches in other regions as well, for which we have to wait. However, you can always check for the update notification on your device by heading to Settings>>Software update>>Download and install.
If there is a new update notification then you can tap on it to install on your device. Don’t forget to tell us about anything new you can spot after flashing the surprising November update on your phone.
Happy installing!
