If you are the owner of the Galaxy A8s then, this piece of news might excite you, as according to the Wi-Fi Alliance certification, the Android 10 update might soon be hitting the units.
To recall, Samsung brought in the Galaxy A8s (aka Galaxy A9 Pro in Korea) back in 2018 and it offers some decent mid-range specs like the Snapdragon 710 with 6/8 GB of RAM, offers up to 128 GB of onboard storage, a 6.4-inch display with a 3,400 mAh battery.
In the camera department, it sports a triple camera setup with 24 MP primary sensor and in the front, the Galaxy A8s houses a 24 MP shooter. In fact, it was one of the first phones to spot a punch-hole display.
However, according to a report, Galaxy A8s was certified with the Wi-Fi Alliance certificate running on the operating system Android 10. PiunikaWeb readers should remember that we came up with similar reports about the Galaxy M30s, Galaxy S9 and A80.
Although, this certification only does not mean that the device will pick up the Android 10 update in the near future. It merely depicts that Samsung has made some progress in that front.
Also, keep in mind that the Galaxy A8s carries model number SM-G887F for global variants while it comes as Galaxy A9 Pro with model number SM-G887N in Korea. You can check out the certification below:
Matter of fact, in another report, Samsung Galaxy A70 and Galaxy Tab S6 are slated to receive the Android 10 (One UI 2.0) update in April 2020. Moreover, both the devices have been included in the Android 10 update roadmap which you can check out below.
All in all, the Android 10 update is on its way for quite a few Samsung Galaxy devices in the coming months or so. Let us know in the comments below when do you think the Android 10 update will arrive for the Galaxy A8s?
