Fitbit claims that its fitness and wellness tracker, Fitbit Luxe, has a battery life of up to 5 days. It is also mentioned that the said battery life depends on usage which is true for all gadgets.

However, users have been experiencing excessive battery drain on their recently purchased Fitbit Luxe units.

While it is a fact that battery life of smartwatches varies with usage among other factors, reports about the Luxe clearly indicate that there might be a widespread problem.

This is because multiple users have outlined that their Luxe units run out of charge in less than 24 hours.

Also, most reports suggest that the battery life of Fitbit Luxe isn’t even close to what has been advertised.

I charged my Fitbit luxe 2 days ago and it’s dead. How do I extend the luxe battery life? Can I turn off all day syncing. If yes how do I do this.

So just got the luxe. Put it to charge at 7pm and by 8am the next day the battery was only 18%. Anyone else had this or is it faulty?

What’s even more inconveniencing for users of the Luxe is the lack of a workaround to fix this problem.

While Fitbit Sense users were also experiencing this problem with iOS devices, it was later resolved with a Fitbit app update to version 3.43.

However, the excessive battery drain problem with Fitbit Luxe appears to be affecting both, Android as well as iOS users.

Moreover, some users have mentioned that they are facing the said issue even with the latest Fitbit app version.

It is also possible that this might be a known issue currently being looked into, according to an affected user.

However, nothing is confirmed until Fitbit makes matters official by addressing the problem on a larger scale.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will report back when we get more details.
