Arrival of EMUI 9.1 – Huawei’s latest smartphone skin based on Android 9.0 Pie – has been eagerly awaited by the users of compatible Huawei/Honor devices. After all, the update adds support for EROFS technology, GPU TURBO 3.0 and brings along other features to enhance user experience.

And now, Huawei has shared a list of 49 devices (planned to be upgraded), among which EMUI 9.1 has already been pushed on 19 phones. However, whether or not the EMUI 9.1 roll out has been completed or is in the staged process on these 19 phones is not clearly stated.
The 19 devices that have already been bumped to EMUI 9.1 include Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 RS Porsche Design, Mate 20X, Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 RS Porsche Design, Mate RS Porsche Design, P20, P20 Pro, nova 3, nova 4e, Enjoy MAX, Honor 20i, Honor V10, Honor 10 Lite, Honor 10, Honor Play & Honor 8X MAX.
Apart from the upgraded ones, the list also reveals Huawei phones for which the EMUI 9.1 update is under public beta and semi-public beta, and the ones for which network upgrade has been completed.
All this information has been shared by Huawei at their Chinese forums in form of an official announcement. The announcement post notifies (translated from Chinese):

The number of fully open and upgraded models has reached 19, and the specific model adaptation progresses as follows:
We understand many of the device names (as well as their update status) included in this list must be Greek to you, as they are in the Chinese language. So we’ve compiled a translated version of the official table for you to get a better idea of EMUI 9.1’s roll out progress.
It’s worth stressing here that this list has been shared by Huawei China, which means the information revealed by the list holds true for devices in China region. Here’s hoping Huawei/Honor devices which haven’t yet been upgraded to EMUI 9.1 also get it soon. Rest assured, like always, we’ll be keeping a close watch and will let you know as and when the update gets pushed on the concerned devices.
NOTE: Did you know the OEM is holding a Free EMUI Upgrade Campaign in India to help Huawei or Honor phone users who haven’t yet received the EMUI OTA, that too irrespective of whether the device is in warranty or out of it?
